Despite being small, Perth is an exciting and vibrant city with a laid back vibe. With everything from rivers and beaches, to restaurants and art galleries, there are plenty of places to visit to discover the true beauty of Perth.
FREMANTLE

The famous Cappuccino strip is home to an abundance of restaurants, cafes and unique shops. Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour is a hot-spot for the most delicious and freshest fish and chips in town. If you are after something a little more upmarket, try Bather’s Beach House and enjoy a cocktail over looking the beautiful Bather’s Beach. Fremantle Prison is one of Fremantle’s premier tourist attractions and is the only World Heritage listed building in the State. Explore the labyrinth of tunnels 20m beneath the Prison by foot or boat on a Tunnels Tour adventure, or if you are feeling brave, book into the darker side of the Prison’s history on an eerie Torchlight Tour.
PERTH
Exploring Perth’s lively laneways, theatres, museums and galleries, ultra-trendy cafes, rooftop bars and restaurants are just some of the many amazing things to see and do in the City.
Spend an afternoon strolling the promenades of the newly refurbished Elizabeth Quay, enjoying the sculptures and sipping a coffee in any of the beautiful cafes along the river. Take the family to visit the animals at Perth Zoo or to Kings Park and Botanical Garden, of the world’s largest and most beautiful inner city parks, for an epic picnic experience overlooking the City. Take a cruise or cycle the banks of the Swan River or take a dip in the ocean at the beautiful Cottesloe Beach. Whether you’re a nature lover, serious foodie or a history and culture enthusiast, there are plenty of places to explore.
ROTTNEST ISLAND
Just a 30-minute ride from the City, ferries bound for Rottnest Island depart from Fremantle and Hillary’s Boat Harbour. The car-free Island is a slice of paradise, with pristine beaches, aquamarine bays, bike tracks and walking trails and is home to the highly photogenic quokka.
There’s plenty to see here besides quokkas, so pick up some picnic necessities from the general store, or swing past the bakery for freshly baked goods and spend the day exploring the island’s many beautiful beaches, historic buildings and lighthouses. You can rent a bike, take your pick of walking trails or if it’s too hot, hop on the Island Explorer and tour the island that way. You can snorkel and dive at The Basin, Parker Point, Little Armstrong Bay or Little Salmon. If you’d rather enjoy lunch sipping a cold beer with sweeping ocean views, visit Hotel Rottnest, their menu is uncomplicated and delicious.
